Vintage Hiwaya stone ceremonial mortar and pestle hand carved in the Sacred Valley, Peru. Mortar measures approx. 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" by 1 1/2" tall, it has natural imperfections. Pestle is approx. 2 3/8" tall, bottom of pestle is approx. 1 1/8" by 1 1/8".
Hiwaya (or jiwaya) stone is magnetic and is believed to possess unique properties, including the ability to "cry blood" when rubbed against other stones. S52515
