Pair of small Pucara bulls hand-painted in the Sacred Valley, Peru. Pucara bulls are ceramic figures characteristic of the district of Pupuja in a region of Peru called Puno. They are made of clay by artisans and hand painted in vibrant colors. "Toritos de Pucara" are often found on rooftops across southern Peru to bring good luck--they are a symbol of protection, happiness, and fertility. Purple in particular symbolizes nobility and spirituality. Bulls are typically paired to represent duality. Approx. 3 1/8" tall, 3 1/8" long and 1 1/2" wide. This listing is for the two bulls shown in the images. B52507
