Madonna and child original Cusco School oil painting on canvas, unframed, from the Sacred Valley, Peru, unsigned (new/not vintage). Many artists in Cusco continue to follow the Cusco School tradition, this is a high-quality multi-layered painting with high-relief gilding. It is also a wonderful example of the syncretism in Peru often represented in Cusco School paintings, with baby Jesus dressed in traditional Andean clothing.
