This is a Chinchero Mestana or Aguayo Cloth. These cloths have multiple uses ranging from ceremonial Shamanic Altars traditionally used in the despacho ceremony, table cloths, shawls to cover your back or to carry items. This was handmade in the high Andes using a backstrap loom. Edges are finished with the "nawi awapa" edging or eye border, which is believed to have special protective qualities. All dyes are 100% organic and natural, made from herbs/plants/flowers found in the Andean mountains and dyed by hand in the villages. Approx. 28" x 28." PF20238
